ACTOM AND LESEDI POWER SERVICES (PTY) LTD is an equal opportunity company, promoting affirmative action, has vacancies for: FUEL PRODUCTION OPERATOR Ngodwana A vacancy exists in the Operational Department at our Ngodwana Site for a Fuel Production Operator reporting to the Shift Leader. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Closely monitor and control bunker fuel levels and fuel stockpile levels with timeous notification to the client for potential shortfall or excess of supply. Ensure starting and stopping of the equipment according to the demand requirements as per best operating practices. Ensure periodic inspection of the fuel supply system and report any defects. Control the performance of fuel supply and preparation. Control the performance of fuel screening facility and supply to fuel bunkers. Ensure all unprocessed and processed fuel quantities and quality requirements recorded and meet minimum stock levels and keep record thereof. Keep updated guidelines and procedures. Ensure operational checks are recorded and immediately report any deviations. Perform required technical training to enhance own professional skills. Read, understand, and interpret information and work in a compliance with technical specifications and supporting documentation. Liaisons with Laboratory Technician on fuel tests and specifications. Comply with industry health, safety and environmental working practices and regulations. Supervise the Mobile Equipment Operator to ensure all activities are performed in accordance with the safety standards and ensure uninterrupted supply of fuel to the Boilers. Ensure general plant housekeeping is performed Perform support function to the Shift Leader. QUALIFICATIONS Grade 12 Senior Certificate, N3 or a relevant NQF4 qualification. Hold a current Code C1 or higher or Commercial Driver's License. EXPERIENCE Must have at least 2 year of experience in operating similar plant such as wood processing, chipping & screening machinery, and conveyors. Commercial, front end load truck driving experience a plus. Working knowledge of power plant or other industrial facility's fundamentals and how industrial plant equipment relates to each system. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledgeable of industry safety procedures and protocols. Good communication skills. Market Related Apply Now
