What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it): As a Quality Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards for construction activities. You will be responsible for documenting and managing records, monitoring construction processes, performing inspections, and ensuring that all materials and methods adhere to strict standards and regulations. Your daily tasks will involve verifying the quality of materials, overseeing equipment delivery, and reviewing documentation. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will also be responsible for reporting on quality-related issues and collaborating with contractors and project teams to address non-conformities and ensure compliance with project specifications. Where you'll be doing it: You will be working on-site in the Free State for a leading company renewable energy company focused on utility scale projects. The company is known for its excellence in the renewable industry, offering a collaborative and innovative environment where you will be exposed to large projects. What you'll need: To be considered for this role, you must have a technical Artisan trade qualification with N4 Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification, along with a valid driver's license. You should have at least 5 years of experience in solar plant construction, electrical substation construction, or related fields, with a strong background in project quality management and ISO 9001 implementation. Experience in quality auditing is advantageous, and you must be proficient in computer skills and documentation practices. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months with the opportunity for renewal.
