Our manufacturing client based in Durban is looking for a Receiving Supervisor to join their Supply Chain team. Individual will be responsible for supporting all the supply chain procedures of raw material receiving, stock control, cycle counts, goods issued to production and stock accuracy in the warehouse. Housekeeping and 5S implementation and management is also a crucial aspect to this role. Supervising staff, including mentoring and guiding staff to achieve relevant departmental KPI's. Daily and weekly planning of employee activities. Receiving of deliveries from inter-branch, local and import suppliers. Maintain accuracy of inventory by enforcing tight control of inbound activities. Ensure all documented information and records are maintained in line with company and legal requirements. Ensure the maintenance of 5S standards and housekeeping. Ensuring FIFO principle is always adhered too. Slow-moving and obsolete reduction plans. Control of 3PL deliveries with designated service provider. Monitor and control handover of raw materials from Stores to Production. Continuous review of SOPs, training manuals, Policy and Procedure Standards - ensuring they are up to date and functional. Evaluate, monitor and control import delivery notes, requisition slips, and goods issued slips for raw materials. Forklift maintenance control. Management of forklift drivers and their daily activities. HSEQ for the raw material store. Tank monitoring and control. Cycle and stock counts weekly and monthly. Identify discrepancies with inbound deliveries and immediately query with supplier management. Matric Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous) Proven supervisory / leadership experience. Stock control experience within a manufacturing environment is essential. Chemical / hazardous goods handling knowledge and experience (hazchem). 5S development and maintenance experience Barcode scanning experience. Computer literate with SAP experience - advantageous. Forklift licence advantageous.
