Senior Credit Controller - Durban

Reference: HQ000877-MM-1 Stratogo is seeking a competent Senior Credit Controller for Head office. The candidate should possess exceptional communication skills followed by a good understanding of collections. Job Functions: Creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention Reconciling Accounts that have been escalated from the AR team Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within your team Liaising with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team Managing a book of debtor accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices. Conducting credit checks on new customers, resolving problems in relation to invoice payments Highlighting potential debtor problems Payment allocations and reconciling of accounts Assist with reporting and other finance related functions if need be Ensure Collections are on time and queries attended to promptly Review and approve Credit Note requests ensuring their reasonability Client Management and building strong relationships Posting AR/CB batches Requirements Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Good business acumen for problem solving Experience with working on Accpac will be an advantage Confidence to deal with customers and colleagues Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workload Excel and Microsoft outlook 4-5 years' experience within an AR and or credit control environment Accounting knowledge
