Reference: PE002601-CV-1 Our client in the Engineering industry, based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ a Senior Design Engineer . An exciting career opportunity awaits you Requirements: BTech in Mechanical with 3 - 5 years machine building experience or BSc / BEng Mechanical / Mechatronic / Elec-Mech or higher in an engineering or science-related field. 5 years of experience actively using CAD software (and a passion for it). Good understanding and practical ability for G&D tolerancing and engineering calculations. Excellent computer literacy and project management skills. Responsibilities, but not limited to: Liaise directly with customers during the implementation and support phases of their projects. Design & detail equipment based upon customer requirements and within the guidelines of senior design engineers. Perform R&D to determine existing methodologies to solve specific problems, or to find similar methodologies and adapt accordingly. Perform design FMEAs. Source and manage suppliers for components used within your design. Ensure project milestones are met. Be part of the equipment commissioning team.
