SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER - Cape Town City Centre
Minimum requirements:
National Senior Certificate or equivalent
Relevant tertiary qualification related to labour relations/labour law/human resources
5 years experience or exposure to the labour relations environment
Experience in: Investigating and initiating disciplinary enquiries and CCMA hearings
Mediating grievances
Handling incapacity matters
Recruitment and selection
Experience in submission of Employment Equity reports is advantageous
Knowledge of South African Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act and any other relevant legislation
Familiarity with HR information systems
Excellent administrative skills, organisational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
Ability to use initiative in high pressure situations
Ability to work effectively and energetically around a demanding work schedule, including working irregular hours on a frequent basiS
The successful candidate will be responsible for: Employee Relations Investigating, preparing and initiating all formal discussions, disciplinary and incapacity cases Mediating grievances Representing the Party at the CCMA Ensuring HR policies are reviewed and updated Providing legal advice Preparing and submitting the annual Employment Equity report Employee relations administration Recruitment Effectively managing the recruitment function Ensuring changes to employment terms are managed effectively Developing and maintaining an effective internship programme
