A Blue Chip Company is seeking a Senior IT Technician is a key member of the IT team, responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This individual will lead and mentor junior technicians, oversee IT projects, and ensure the reliability and security of IT systems. The Senior IT Technician will also collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and implement solutions to support business objectives. Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues. Lead and mentor junior IT technicians, providing guidance and support in resolving complex technical problems. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Manage and monitor IT systems for performance, reliability, and security, implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime and data breaches. Coordinate IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to procure IT equipment and services and resolve technical issues. Develop and maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT support and administration. Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems, applications, and security best practices. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A, Network, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) preferred. Proven experience in IT support and administration, with at least [X years] of experience in a senior or leadership role. Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and practices is desirable.
