Stores Manager - South Africa

Duties

  • Ensure that the Store Department is efficiently organized for the entire company (Unit 1, Unit 2 & any other)
  • Ensure Policies, procedures and processes are created and maintained and in line with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
  • Organize monthly stock review meetings to discuss old stock, shortages, stock adjustments and related Stores matters.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy, mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Daily supervision of Raw Materials in the Stores Department place orders for materials as required by managers and supervisors on Sage Pastel Evolution system.
  • Ensure and maintain accurate record keeping of purchase requisitions and GRVs. Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).

Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc in Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field.
  • Matric, equivalent certificate.
  • 3-5 years experience preferably in a steel manufacturing industry Proficient in Excel.
  • Proven ability to lead staff and ensure maximum productivity.
