Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Duties & Responsibilities Lead and supervise the team of machine shop to ensure efficient operation of the machine shop. Develop and implement production schedules, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to optimize workflow and meet production targets. Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to prioritize and schedule machining jobs according to requirements and production priorities. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the machine shop, including the use of personal protective equipment, machine guiding, and safe operating procedures. Implement and maintain quality control measures and inspection procedures to ensure the accuracy and consistency of machined components. Manage inventory of raw materials, tooling, and consumables required for machining operations, and coordinate with procedurement to ensure adequate supply levels. Train and develop machine shop personnel on machining techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards. Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability within the machine shop team. Desired Experience & Qualification Qualifications: N6/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Trade test in Fitting and Turning Experience: (5 years) in a leadership role within a machine shop or manufacturing environment, with a strong background in machining processes and technologies. Proficiency in CNC machining, manual machining, and machine programming, with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues and optimize machining parameters.
