Technical Manager - Cape Town City Centre
Min of 10 years PLUS experience in Commercial and Retail interiors
- Expertise in Space Planning, Architecture, and Construction Drawings
-Strong Revit experience specifically in BIM management.
- Lead the team in the latest trends, materiality, and co-ordinate building and engineering infrastructure, and have a great understanding of technical design. Finishes, hardware etc.
- Advanced knowledge of design software such asRevit, AutoCAD,Twinmotion, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Client facing role
- Can manage projects independently from start to finish through the 6 building stages
- Prepare final submission documentation
- Strong experience in Interior Design and FF&E selection
- Good understanding of project administration and documentation
- Good understanding of current project software in current industry standards
- Good understanding of materiality - types of materials used in different applications in building
- Understanding of the RIBA project stages, not a must have but advantageous
- Strong understanding of MEP services and be able to coordinate Interior Design with MEP
- Excellent time management skills - to be able to stick to briefs and deadlines
- Strong knowledge base of materials and finishes, to be able to value engineer a design if need be
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience working within the commercial sector is beneficial.
- Membership with a relevant professional association is desirable
