Compile drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and installation of fire protection systems. Drawings • Create accurate, readable technical drawings as per designs • Compile drawing project plan, naming conventions, and number generation • Generate 3D parts, sub-assemblies • Generate detailed drawings (Project planning, parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies, revisions, and redesigns) • Ensure conversions of different file formats to complete drawings • Implement revisions and redesigns on all relevant drawings • Create, import, and ensure that correct templates are used at all times(Internal/External) • Ensure that a fast and accurate bill of materials is generated • Ensure accurate dimensioning and detailing of drawings • Attend site visits as and when require for: 1. Site establishment for 3D modelling 2. To verify discrepancies on existing drawings 3. Red lining issue for construction for as build's • Assist internal departments as and when required (Marketinm Production, Manufacturing, R&D) Quality Assurance • Ensure adherence to drawing standards at all times • Review the bill of materials against the design and make sure it is correct • Ensure that correct templates are used (Internal/External) • Ensure drawings are checked by lead draughtsman • Ensure approval and sign-off of drawing after drawing completion Communication • Acquire technical data from engineers; clients; and suppliers as and when required • Attend Operations/Kick Off meetings as and when required • Communicate with Operations (Internal/External); Engineering and buyers about the correct engineering specifications • Advise clients on drawing standards • Consult and co-ordinate with engineers and internal departments on designs; layouts; details o Ensure constant communication to all clients (Internal/External) regarding: outstanding information required to complete drawings o submission of drawings Administration • Complete timesheets on a daily basis • Ensure and maintain proper administration processes for both hard and soft copies (Filing; scanning; printing) • Ensure and maintain high level drawing office practices at all times • Matric Draughting Certificate/Diploma. Essential • Microsoft Office Suite. Essential • AutoCAD. Essential • Autodesk Inventor. Essential • Knowledge of Fire protection systems and piping. Essential • Fire Standards and Knowledge • SAQCC Certifications • Project Management Certification • 2-3 Years Experience • Piping and materials handling • Project Manager • Drawings for Mining/Construction/Manufacturing • Drivers License • Willing to work long hours • Interpreting Data • Communication • Attention to detail • Problem solving • Team work • Results driven • Ability to work under pressure R30 000.00 - R40 000.00 Per Month
