Job Description: Direct and oversee advanced powertrain projects, ensuring they meet customer requirements Develop vehicle architecture and infrastructure for advanced powertrain systems Lead the identification, evaluation, and selection of suppliers for seamless component integration Create and implement test and validation specifications to achieve 100% on-time project completion within scope Ensure technical product performance aligns with specified requirements Mentor and motivate a team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists Establish clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct evaluations Cultivate a collaborative team culture that fosters knowledge sharing, creativity, and professional growth Identify training opportunities to enhance technical skills and expertise within the team Drive innovation and strategy for alternative drive solutions, ensuring compliance with local and international labor laws and safety standards Develop vehicle specifications based on selected components, ensuring safety standards up to ISO26262 levels, including ASIL D Participate in developing strategies for alternative drive solutions Define requirements specifications and vehicle architecture Lead supplier identification and evaluation processes Develop and implement test and validation specifications Direct engineers to meet technical requirements and ensure successful project deliverables Skills & Experience: 10 years pertinent engineering development experience Meticulous attention to detail and adept task management skills Capable of performing under pressure Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication in English Deep technical expertise in automotive engineering principles, processes, and industry standards Proven leadership capabilities, including leading and overseeing engineering teams Skilled in utilizing engineering project management methodologies and tools Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities Strategic thinker with advanced problem-solving skills Effective in fast-paced, dynamic work environments Qualification: B Eng. or M Eng. degree in Mechatronic/Electronic Engineering, Master's degree is a plus Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
