Warehouse Manager - Johannesburg

The Warehouse Manager will oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfilment, inventory management, and shipping. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and effective utilization of warehouse resources to meet customer demand while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Warehouse Manager Roles & Responsibilities: •Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. •Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. •Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. •Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, conduct regular cycle counts and audits, and reconcile discrepancies. •Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to OSHA and company safety regulations. •Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage and minimize loss. •Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and customer service, to fulfil orders and resolve issues. •Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock movements and optimize inventory levels. •Evaluate warehouse processes and identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs. •Prepare and analyse warehouse performance reports, including key metrics such as on-time delivery, accuracy, and productivity. Required Skills & Experience: •Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. •5 years of experience in warehouse management, with a proven track record of success. •Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. •Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. •Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office suite. •Knowledge of warehouse safety and quality standards, including OSHA regulations. •Effective communication and interpersonal skills. •Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
