It must be practical for applicants to work in Olifantsfontein over the long term. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various welding techniques with a strong background in welding applications in a manufacturing or a similar industrial environment. Candidates with a proven track record in a production environment will be preferred. Key Responsibilities: Welding Operations: Perform advanced welding operations using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC) on different materials. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering blueprints and plans to understand welding requirements. Quality Assurance: Ensure all welding tasks meet quality standards and specifications. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and machinery. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment. Skill Requirements: Precision and Attention to Detail: Execute welding tasks with high precision and attention to detail. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions quickly. Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members and superiors for smooth operations. Physical Stamina and Strength: Ability to handle heavy materials and stand for long periods. Experience Level: Proven Experience: At least 5 years of experience in specialist welding roles, preferably in the manufacturing sector. Project Portfolio: Demonstrable experience with a variety of welding projects, highlighting different techniques and materials. Technical Competencies: Hard Skills Welding Techniques: Proficiency in MIG, TIG, ARC, and other welding methods. Material Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of metals and their properties. Equipment Proficiency: Experience with welding equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting. Fabrication Skills: Ability to fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment. Industry Knowledge Manufacturing Experience: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially related to steel structure production. Quality Standards: Familiarity with industry standards for welding and fabrication. Safety Protocols: In-depth understanding of occupational health and safety guidelines in a manufacturing environment. Certifications Welding Certification: Certified in welding from a recognized institution (e.g., AWS Certified Welder, Red Seal Welder). Additional Qualifications: Any additional certifications related to advanced welding techniques or safety will be advantageous. Remuneration Remuneration will be calculated based on experience and seniority with an hourly rate of R80 - R110.
