We are seeking a well qualified, skilled and experienced Fitter and Turner (Machinist) to join our team based in Olifantsfontein South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety. This role involves operating precision machinery, performing under pressure in a production environment, and ensuring all work meet stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machining and Fabrication:
- Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and other precision tools to manufacture axle and related components.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks to ensure all parts meet industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results and work performed.
- Assembly:
- Assemble mechanical components to form completed axles.
- Test assembled axles to ensure they function correctly and meet performance requirements.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure all work complies with industry regulations and standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes and implement effective solutions.
- Stay updated with new techniques and tools in the field and participate in training programs.

- Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise in operating lathes, milling machines, and other precision machinery.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
