This position will be a working foreman position and requires the foreman to be hands-on involved in the repair and maintenance of the fleet. In addition to daily maintenance and repair of the fleet the below responsibilities will fall into the scope of this position: • Fleet of yellow metal (FELs, Excavators, ADTs, Tipper Trucks, Drills, TLB/grader/compactor), also interlink trucks and LDVs. • Determine daily activity plan as per daily checks, planned maintenance schedules and breakdown occurrence • Plan and Issue job cards and allocate work, issue instructions, parts and equipment planning • Develop maintenance plans in conjunction with Production, General Engineering Supervisor (GES) and OEM • OEM and supplier interfacing • Financial control – budgets, sourcing, quotes, supplier management • Ensure stock of critical spares in maintenance store • Assist with trouble shooting/ fault diagnosis • Authorise indicated repair and maintenance work and spares/ external work requirement • Order and expedite spares, consumable, external work • Undertake direct maintenance & repairs work • Advise on workflow reroutes with breakdowns • Ensure optimum team in place per day's programme • Ensure team members' ability to deliver required work • Create an enabling environment for team members to perform • Encourage and recognise performance • Address workplace conflict • Team management, development and disciplinary action • Ensure safe working practices and workplace, SHEQ standards developed, review and implementation • Engineering and equipment daily, weekly and monthly reporting to GES • Attend plant safety, weekly production meetings • Life Cycle Management, Capex planning and Opex Planning with GES. • Undertake and/ or participate in plant installation activities • Ensures that risk associated with work carried out and equipment serviceability is identified and mitigated • Assist GES and Mine Management in their tasks Minimum qualifications & experience needed: N4, Trade tested – Earth moving equipment – Red seal 4 years as a practising Artisan, 5 years in supervisory or foreman capacity Preferred: N6 (Diesel Mech), Supervisory Diploma or equivalent training will be advantageous
