National Diploma in Engineering (preferably electrical/electronic Engineering) (NQF6) FOA Certified Fibre Optic testing/troubleshooting equipment; OTDR, Max Tester as well as Optical link loss test tools Experience splicing of SMF, MMF and NZDSF Optical Fibre testing/troubleshooting equipment: OLS, OTDR, PM, Max Tester buffer fibre cables Test report writing, Interpretation and presentation of test results Perform tasks
professionalism Taking lead in documenting, installing, testing and troubleshooting fibre optic systems at telescope possible. Qualification: National Diploma in Engineering preferably Electrical/Electronic with 9 years Fibre Optic troubleshooting tools (i.e., OTDR, Loss tests, Inspection probes, etc.) Knowledge: Assemble different maintenance of fibre optic links. Interpreting test results Reading of fibre optic splicing diagrams/documents
