Winding process and methods of winding and standards. Follow and adhere to Winding Procedure WP 09. Ensure the correct interpretation of Winding Data. Apply the correct insulation requirements when winding stators. Make correct and secure connections. Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Handling and lifting methods and requirements Responsibilities and Authorities The Position's main objectives are; Follow Winding Instructions as per the information on the Winding Data Cards, Apply the winding requirements and standards as indicated in the Winding Procedure WP 09. Make sure that the correct coils are drawn from Store and used for the applicable winding job. Ensure coils are placed in slots without any scratches or damage to insulation. Ensure timely and accurate winding of stators as per the specified Works Instructions. Responsible for marking and cutting of insulation material and wedges. Ensure that stators are wound in a consistent manner to an acceptable quality standard. Stators to be wound uniformly in a consistent manner with minimum crossovers. Make sure coils in stator are properly insulated, shaped, lashed and tied. Prepare and make proper and secure connections and use correct and proper sleeving of joints. On completion of the stator winding process, sign off the Winding Job Card. Report nonconforming windings information, connections to Winding Supervisor. Take the required corrective and preventive actions to correct nonconforming products. Adhere to company policies and procedures relating to health and safety, environment and quality management Responsible for maintaining and filing of Winding Data Cards and related records etc. Any other duty as required and delegated from time to time by the Managing Director. Health and Safety Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and requirements. Usage of correct and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's). Safe and correct usage of Oxygen Acetylene Brazing sets. Communication Communicate to obtain suitable information by relevant methods for stator winding operations. Communicate with Winding Supervisor on product and production requirements. Selection Criteria Strong work ethic, integrity and service orientation. Proven initiative and a passion for outcomes. Good product and application knowledge of coil winding activities and practices. Good communication skills both written and verbal. Well developed administration and time keeping skills. Holds self accountable and committed to self development and continuous improvement Competency – Education, Qualifications, Skills / Training and Experience Qualified Winding Artisan or 3 Years AC Winding experience Minimum Grade 8 Onsite Training Good communication skills and product knowledge.
