Reference: SW004931-ML2-1 A retirement village based in Somerset West has an exciting opening for an Activities Coordinator with at least 2 years experience in a similar role working with the elderly to join their team and be part of a community that values compassion and excellence Requirements: Grade 12 Fully Bilingual and good communication skills (English and Afrikaans) Two years in similar post with Geriatrics (Advantageous) Auxiliary OT (Advantageous) Course in working with the Elderly (Advantageous) Good planning and organizing skills Be able to handle conflict Duties will include but not limited to: Effective implantation of holistic activity programmes Accurate record keeping and related administration duties Handling general activities Key Competencies: Knowledge of ageing process Ability to work with the Elderly Group handling skills Affinity for the Elderly Creative and ability to interpret instructions
