Startup in the Composite industry, dedicated to revolutionizing the built environment with innovative products seeks an Assistant Production Manager who can grow into a Production Manger and then Group Production Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to setting up and managing our factory from the ground up.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Production Manager will play a crucial role in the establishment and operation of our new factory. This role requires a process expert with a strong background in production management, who can lead a small team of approximately 35 people. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to set up factory processes, ensure efficient production, and foster growth within the company. If you are a process, quality, and H&S expert, who has a passion for composites, then this is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Factory Setup: Oversee the establishment of the new factory, including layout design, equipment installation, and process development.
- Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of about 35 employees, ensuring high performance and productivity.
- Production Oversight: Manage daily production operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and efficiency targets.
- Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure product excellence.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of materials and minimizing waste.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, highlighting areas for improvement and success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in production management, ideally within the composite or manufacturing industry.
- Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in setting up factory processes and managing production operations.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and a process-oriented mindset.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
