Our manufacturing company is seeking a Cash Book Clerk to join our Finance team. This office-based position is located in Johannesburg (West Rand). The successful candidate will be responsible for various cashbook functions, including bank reconciliations, addressing outstanding items, and managing daily cash activities. Capturing and reconciliations of all Bank Statements daily Capturing and reconciliations of Sundry Account daily – both AP and AR Issuing, processing and reconciling of Petty Cash accounts Maintaining of Suspense account Ensure accurate and complete capture of relevant monthly supplier invoices within the set deadline. Ensure all cost are allocated correctly to GL accounts & cost centres. Ensure all invoices with VAT are VAT compliant. Monthly analysis of all local creditors. Ensure all internal and external emails are tendered to timeously and responses provided. Ensure that commentary on the monthly reports are completed accurately and within the set deadlines. Assist with reconciling supplier statements to the age analysis pertaining to local suppliers – accuracy and timeous. Ensure that all credits on the supplier ledger are resolved within the following month. Ensuring all credit notes are requested and obtained where applicable. Ensure all remittances are sent accurately and timeously on a monthly basis after payments are done. All recons and supporting documentation must be saved neatly and accurately on a monthly basis. Ensure escalation of unresolved transactions to heads of departments. Ensure accurate supporting documents are provided upon request, to auditors, bankers, suppliers and customers etc. Ensure the supporting documentation are uploaded accurately to every local supplier transaction ensuring completeness. Management of the credit cards, processing transactions and monthly reconciliation of the card statements. Update and maintenance of vendor profile on ERP System Addressing adhoc queries accurately & timeously. Professional telephone & e-mail etiquette. Must be computer literate Matric Tertiary education in Finance/ Accounting Minimum three (3) year work experience in relevant field Excel proficiency a must Attention to detail Accuracy Time management Team player Problem solving Adaptability Functioning well under pressure Technoswitch offers a pension fund. Technoswitch will contribute 5% of your salary towards the pension fund, and you will have the option of contributing either 0%, 2.5%, 5% or 7.5%. A Quarterly bonus will be payable which will amount to no more than 25% of the monthly salary and is dependent on performance of the employee as well as the company. Apply Now
