We are currently looking for a Construction Manager (Civil) to join our team. This is a 12-month contract position based in the Middleburg area.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering (NQF 7)
- A qualification in Project Management
- Safety Course: A3
- A post-graduate degree Engineering will be an advantage (NQF Level 8)
- Management Development Program will be an advantage
Experience:
- Extensive experience in the construction industry at a Supervisory or Management level
- Extensive experience within the mining industry in the Engineering discipline
- Experience in Contractor Management will be an advantage
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Mine Health and Safety Act and Environmental Legislation
- In depth knowledge of engineering processes and practices, as well as within the construction discipline
- An understanding of contracting principles and contractor management
- Knowledge of project management packages such as Microsoft Project
- Communications skills(written and verbal)
