Responsibilities:
Performing routine preventative maintenance on diesel engines / diesel pump sets.
Conducting basic repairs of diesel engines.
Inspecting and testing electrical and diesel-driven pump sets, control valves, valve packs, and sprinkler systems.
Conducting routine control valve overhauls.
Performing flow tests.
Troubleshooting machinery, diesel engines, and pump sets.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Complying with health and safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
Requirements:
Qualified Diesel Mechanic.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related components, including pump control panels.
Experience in basic pump maintenance is preferable.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
No criminal record.
Matric qualification is preferable.
Physically fit and in good health.
Good troubleshooting skills.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn on site.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to effectively communicate and liaise with clients.
