A vacancy exists in the Distribution department of Bravo Group Manufacturing at BBSD Head Office - Johannesburg, for the following position: Distribution Manager KEY OBJECTIVES (JOB/WHY DOES THE POSITION EXIST?) Responsible for the efficient distribution of goods on time, at the agreed quality and service levels – including related administration, warehousing, sub-contractor management and fleet maintenance. Accountable for customer satisfaction and company's competitive advantage regarding distribution of goods. Must initiate interventions to continuously drive distribution cost down. Plan and manage all aspects of logistics including managing and organizing storage and distribution of goods Oversee stock control and manage delivery of goods at the right cost Responsible for export distribution to BNSL countries and related administration Manage and maintain fleet. Obtain and approve quotes and liaise with third party repairers Manage group vehicles / fleet, ensuring mechanical work that is contracted out is done appropriately, at the right price, is governed by fleet risk policy and completed at agreed time frames Manage expenses to within budget, where role has control Manage and ensure on-time reporting of accidents and ensure all accidents are properly investigated, and all required accident documentation is completed, authorized and forwarded to all relevant parties Actions any accidental repairs and follow up as and when required Need to have knowledge of cross-border (BNLS countries) deliveries and the laws and regulations regarding these deliveries Monitor service schedules and all driver PDP's (e.g., expiry dates) Take responsibility for warehousing and ensure stock accuracy Manage outstanding POD's to within acceptable standards Ensure compliance to policies and procedures Assist GSM's and Distribution Managers with Capex requirements Do an annual budget Can do an in-depth investigation into various aspects of the portfolio and submit a detailed report on findings with recommendations Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 Diploma / NQF level 6 in Distribution / Transport Management / Supply Chain Management Computer literate – advanced excel required, intermediate Word, PowerPoint and MS Office Min 6 years' relevant working experience Knowledge of transport and logistics to BNLS countries will be advantages BEHAVIOURAL DIMENSIONS REQUIRED Insight – Has and gains insight into situations, problems, and processes.
