Electrical Lead Engineer - Cape Town City Centre
Job Description:
Lead and develop an electrical design team, enhancing performance and collaboration
Build strong customer relationships to effectively allocate design resources
Delegate tasks, manage project timelines, and address deviations promptly
Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Organize and conduct internal and external design reviews
Handle CAD design tasks, maintain accurate product data, and support custom orders
Oversee administrative tasks, including performance reviews and mentorship
Achieve team goals, maintain high employee satisfaction, and receive positive customer feedback
Adhere to project timelines, reduce design issues, and optimize resource utilization
Ensure accurate and timely CAD design work, and implement effective mentorship and training programs
Engage in leadership development and continuous improvement in engineering practices
Skills & Experience:
8 to 10 years of experience in engineering design, with a preference for expertise in wiring design and controller integration within the automotive electrical design field
Open to international travel for varying durations based on project requirements
Execute CAD design tasks, including 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation
Ensure precise maintenance of product data within customer PDM systems
Qualification:
BEng, BSc or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering
