Finance Administrator - Johannesburg

About the role
As a Financial Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of GM Boiler and Steam Consulting Engineering. Reporting to Rosharon Morgan, you will assist in various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in financial administration within a dynamic and growing company.
Responsibilities:

● Assist in accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, and receipts with meticulous attention to detail.
● Help maintain accurate financial records and databases, ensuring entries are up-to-date and reconciled.
● Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and precision.
● Assist in monitoring cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions with meticulous attention to detail.
● Aid in the preparation and submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
● Assist with payroll administration, including processing timesheets and employee expenses accurately.
● Help analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making, ensuring data accuracy.
● Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and information as required, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
● Assist in financial analysis and forecasting to support business planning and decision-making with meticulous attention to detail.
● Help implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring adherence and accuracy.
● Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, scanning, and correspondence, with meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements:
  • Recent graduate or currently pursuing a qualification in Finance Accounting or a related field.
  • South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
  • Must not have taken part in the YES Programme before.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial terminology with meticulous attention to detail.Strong organizational skills and ability. to prioritize tasks effectively with meticulous attention to detail.
