Housekeeping Supervisor - Franschhoek

Area/Location: Franschhoek, Cape Town

Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join a prestigious 5-star boutique hotel. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our luxurious hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervision and Training:
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff.
  • Assign tasks and ensure efficient completion of cleaning duties in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
  • Train new housekeeping employees and provide ongoing coaching to ensure adherence to hotel standards.
Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Address any cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supply of cleaning materials and amenities.
Guest Relations:
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping services.
  • Coordinate with front desk and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with guests.
Team Management:
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and leadership.
  • Motivate and inspire the housekeeping team to achieve high performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff on a regular basis.
  1. Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures related to housekeeping operations.
  • Conduct regular training on safety protocols and procedures for the housekeeping team.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Stock Management Experience.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Education and Certification:
  • Matric
  • Additional certification in housekeeping or hospitality management is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Skills:
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and stock management.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems effectively.
