Job Summary

The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the wage department and be responsible in ensuring that wages are processed on time, accurately and in compliance with respective government regulations. Impacting approximately 5000 employees in multiple countries paid in their respective currency.

Requirements:

Degree in related field will be an advantage (BCom Accounting/ similar)
15 20 years of payroll experience required (preferably covering RSA and Africa)
Min 5 years of payroll management experience essential
Min 5 years SAGE 300 payroll experience essential
Strong accounting skills an advantage

Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise payroll team of 8 10 employees
Implement, maintain and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of related transactions.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations and change to pay rates.
Investigate and resolve all queries and discrepancies in a timely manner
Ability to problem solve and manage conflict effectively
Liaise and communicate effectively with staff and all management levels
Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors (internal / external / DoL)
Maintain payroll company/ies system setup and rules
Perform additional ad-hoc duties as required
Statutory monthly and annual reports

Proficient with SAGE payroll software
