Job Summary: The purpose of this role is to manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods (non-stock, stock and capital) and services from suppliers based on an approved purchase requisition and in line with the procurement policy and procedures. Main Responsibilities (not limited to): • To procure non-stock, stock and services in accordance with the procurement policy and procedures. • To procure non-stick, stock and services of the right quality and quantity at the best prices, and contribute to cost saving and continuation of production. • To establish and maintain vendor (supplier) database to ensure accurate and complete information is available on the enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. • To maintain good internal customer relations to ensure that long outstanding purchase orders are being followed up. • To administer purchase orders to ensure that all supporting documentation are maintained for all purchase orders. • To perform ad-hoc functions as assigned to ensure timeous completion of ad-hoc task assigned. The Preferred Candidate is likely to have: • Grade 12 • National Diploma in Supply Chain or Procurement • Degree in Supply Chain or Procurement (advantages) • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management environment. Knowledge and Skills: • Tactical Procurement. • Supply Chain Management. • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) – JD Edwards Procurement module. • Written and Verbal Communication. • Persuading and Influencing. • Delivering Results and meeting customer expectations.
