This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about accounting and is looking to grow professionally in a dynamic and supportive environment. • Bookkeeping to Trial Balance • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and complete financial records. • Manage fixed assets, including recording acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation. • Oversee the accounts receivable process to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. • Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close. • Process and maintain accurate payroll records. • Prepare monthly provisions, salary, and general journals. • Reconcile inter-group loan accounts. • Monitor and reconcile company accounts and ledgers. • Process and submit relevant regulatory returns to authorities (SARS (VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, IRP6 etc.), UIF, Compensation Fund, etc.). • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as needed. • Conduct thorough analyses of financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities. • Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely payment of invoices and favorable payment terms. • Prepare financial statements and monthly management reports. • Prepare annual audit documents. • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. • Show willingness to take on additional tasks and projects as needed. Accounting Degree (BCom) or relevant qualification SAIPA/SAICA completed articles Minimum 5 Years experience in the accounting field (2 years post articles) Draftworx Experience IQ Retail Accounting (Advantageous) Microsoft Office skills – Outlook & Excel Experience presenting to other members within the organization Strong processing skills
