The Senior Payroll Clerk, reporting to the Financial Manager, will have the following responsibilities: Payroll Processing: Accurately process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all employees. Compliance: Ensure payroll activities comply with company policies and legal requirements. Employee Transactions: Process new hires and terminations correctly within the payroll system. Record Maintenance: Maintain and update payroll records for all employees. Statutory Requirements: Ensure all payroll information and records comply with statutory requirements. Payslip Preparation: Prepare and distribute payslips to employees. Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries or concerns from employees and provide necessary support. Reporting and Analysis: Assist with payroll reporting and analysis. Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of payroll information. Reconciliation: Manage the reconciliation and distribution of IRP5 forms. HR Collaboration: Work closely with the HR department to ensure employee records are accurate and up to date. Own car and a valid drivers license Completed Matric and a Diploma in Financial Accounting or HR related field A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role Proficiency in MS Office Advanced knowledge of payroll system (mandatory) Experience with a Biometric clocking system such as Kronos Strong teamwork skills Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability Keen attention to detail Ability to work independently
