SENTECH is looking for a Senior Pricing Specialist who will be responsible to bridge the gap between our business users and their needs and the technical solution, ensuring that the BI solution delivers business value. Engage closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges, translating these into precise and comprehensive functional specifications aligned with business requirement. The incumbent will be responsible to set base prices and develop discount programs, provide ad-hoc and ongoing analysis to support pricing reviews and frameworks in-line with overall business strategy, provide high-level financial models and collaborate with business functions to support product deployment, removal or adjustments and inform relevant business strategy. ● Lead the development and Implementation of overall pricing strategy for the organisation with emphasis on profitability and top-line revenue ● Develops pricing strategy aligned to long-term corporate plan and marketing and sales strategy ● Drive the revenue generation against the pricing strategy of the organisation and continuous review of the pricing methodologies. ● Review and formulate the financial models to all pricing proposals with financial metrics to ensure that company goals are met. ● Provide input into development of commission or incentive scheme for key account management ● Management of commission calculation and submission for approval to the executive Management ● Define the pricing deal structuring activities including other various commercial strategies in line with partners and customer profiles as well as responding to market dynamics. ● Provide guidance and framework for pricing in line with Broadband mandate, license and corporate plan ● Provide input sign off pricing discounts and recommend to pricing committee ● Ensures minimum gross margins are met and maintained for the deals ● Manages commercial risk exposure in terms of company sales commission; discounting and pricing policy ● Benchmarks the Broadband pricing with markets on an ongoing basis Qualifications: ● Honours degree in Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or equivalent. ● CIMA professional registration is an advantage Experience: . ● 7 years of relevant experience in a Commercial Pricing/Product Role with a large-scale business ● Minimum 3 years working experience in a telecommunications environment ● Minimum 3 years' experience in developing and defining pricing structures ● A good understanding of financial and pricing principles in the Telecommunication Industry. ● Analytical and Data Mining skills, and experience in working with multiple stakeholders Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance ● Reporting and analytical experience essential ● Understanding of relevant Pricing practices SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: ● Leading Courageously ● Leading in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, complex and ambiguous), world ● Customer and Commercial Insight ● Conflict Management ● Critical and Innovative thinking ● Direction Setting (Vision and Strategy) ● People management ● Performance management ● Programme/ Project Management ● Quality Assurance and Risk Management ● System Thinking ● Design Thinking BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES: ● Change Leadership ● Compliance ● Relationship Management ● Financial Awareness ● Safety, Health and Environmental Knowledge ● Planning organising ● Organisational Understanding ● Emotional intelligence ● Attention to detail ● Integrity and Professionalism ● Judgement and Decision-Making ● Learning Agility ● Organisation Resilience ● Risk Management ● Strategic Thinking and Agility ● Analytical Thinking If you are interested and meet the required criteria as described above, please send your CV on/or before 20 July 2024 Appointment will be done in accordance with Employment Equity Plan of the organisation.
