R & R is looking for a Senior Project Planner/Scheduler to join our young, dynamic and diverse team. Permanent, full-time position Based in Irene/Centurion. Site visits will be required from time to time (own car essential for local travelling) Closing date: 2 February 2024 The ability to manage multiple smaller projects, or one large scale project. Can establish and maintain an effective interface between Owner, Consultants/EPCM's and Contractors. Able to provide the necessary support to the project management and project controls team, and ensuring the project life cycle are followed between the various phases and roles within the project (holistic integration). Have provided a leading role in schedule optimisation exercises for large scale projects with multidisciplinary role players. And can implement planning technologies and best practise tools to enhance planning deliverables. Capability of producing at a minimum; Level 1-5 schedules, milestone schedules and roadmaps, including the development of associated histograms, s-curves and documentation. Review of the project schedule management plan, providing any necessary input and recommendations to suit the project and scheduling requirements. Can take lead in the baseline development and progress updates of the Project Master Schedule, including maintaining the alignment of all participants (Mining, EPCM and Contractor Schedules). Monitoring and verification of detailed EPCM and Contractor control schedule progress updates, analysing bottlenecks, deviations and delays, with the ability to advise on any fast-tracking and recovery methods. Review and monitoring of reports provided by Consultants and/or Contractors, ensuring the accuracy thereof and that it meets the project reporting requirements. Capable of doing claim analysis, schedule dispute resolution and recommendations based on the applicable contract and type. Identify mitigations for project and schedule risks and issues. Have experience in a directing role in developing and prioritising project workstreams to meet project and business objectives. Provide regular updates and reporting presented at board level, which includes at a minimum the critical path analysis, schedule deviations, recovery alternatives, look-ahead analysis and focus areas. The development of additional micro-schedules and ad-hoc support on critical schedule as requested and when required. Assist consultant/EPCM, and contractor planners if and when required to ensure a successful outcome of the project. Minimum Project scheduling requirement: Primavera P6 (Advanced), MS Projects (Advanced), Excel (Advanced) Tertiary technical, and supplementary qualifications or certifications will be advantageous (National Diploma, B Tech, PMP, PMI-SP etc.) Minimum of 10 years of sound Project Planning experience within multi-disciplined large-scale Mining, EPCM and Construction projects.
