We are looking for a seasoned short-term specialist within the Financial Services sector, possessing extensive experience in both personal and commercial lines, including specialist classes. This role is situated within our Technical Adviser Support team and involves providing comprehensive support to a vast network of advisers on complex advice-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and manage the large case review process, including presenting findings to senior management.
  • Continuously evaluate, review, and enhance the large case process.
  • Act as a technical product and advice expert in adviser-focused meetings and technical/distribution committees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic distribution projects requiring Insure subject matter experts.
  • Assist in generating content for the technical adviser support team and marketing related to advice and distribution activities.
  • Draft, review, and approve marketing communications related to advice and distribution activities.
  • Work with cross-divisional teams on product and product provider due diligences.
  • Provide ongoing technical advisory support to advisers and distribution teams, both proactively and reactively.
  • Draft communications on technical topics such as TakeNotes and Advice for Advisers.
  • Represent the Technical Advisory Services team as the Insure Product expert on various committees.
  • Conduct research on ad hoc projects.
  • Effectively manage direct reporting staff.
  • Facilitate technical training on personal and commercial lines for the Advisor Development Programme.
Qualifications:

  • NQF5 or relevant short-term qualification.

Experience:

  • At least seven (7) years of experience in personal and commercial lines, with exposure to underwriting and claims processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of short-term insurance products.
  • Experience engaging at an EXCO/Senior Management level.
  • Direct experience working with financial advisers.
