Head of Marketing Location: Johannesburg, South Africa Reports To: CEO Position Summary: The Head of Marketing will be responsible for leading and executing the marketing strategies for the company across the East African region. This role involves overseeing all marketing activities, managing relationships with agencies across multiple countries, devising activations, and ensuring brand consistency across diverse markets. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention in the East African region. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to execute integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, traditional advertising, and experiential marketing. Manage relationships with marketing agencies, freelancers, and vendors in each country to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. Devise innovative marketing activations and promotions tailored to each market's cultural nuances and consumer preferences. Oversee the creation and production of marketing collateral, including print materials, digital assets, and promotional merchandise. Analyze marketing performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimize strategies for maximum impact and ROI. Monitor industry trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges within the region. Ensure brand consistency and messaging coherence across all marketing communications and touchpoints. Collaborate with the Head of Operations to align marketing strategies with operational capabilities and objectives. Provide regular reports and updates to the CEO and senior management team on marketing performance, initiatives, and market insights. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on international or multi-country marketing campaigns. Proven track record of successfully executing integrated marketing strategies and driving measurable results. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams and external partners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing plans. Familiarity with the sports betting or online gaming industry is advantageous. Experience working in diverse cultural and geographic environments is preferred. Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and platforms for performance tracking and reporting.
