A leading company within the ICT industry based in Faerie Glen are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant who will be reporting to the CFO and will be responsible for the full financial function, all preparation up to financial statements, cash flow preparation, budget prepping, profitability report per site/project etc. You will be assigned a dynamic portfolio where you will be required to provide a variety of services ranging from tax and financial statement preparation to monthly services such as VAT and compilation of management accounts. You will also work closely with junior staff who will assist you on certain aspects of your portfolio KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Candidate will be reporting to the CFO and will be responsible for the full financial function, all preparation up to financial statements, Cash flow preparation, budget prepping, profitability report per site/project etc Candidate would be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts (also to prepare VAT returns), Reconciliations up to trial balances, Conduct periodic internal audits to identify and rectify discrepancies. Financial statements and tax computations for all companies, in order to meet client, SARS and any other deadlines. Candidate would be required to manage their time through an electronic timekeeping system and be responsible for monitoring the junior staff assigned to him/her. On completion of each Project, the candidate will be required to prepare cost analyses. Candidate will be assessed on performance on a monthly basis, and when appointed permanently, a quarterly basis. Stock Management and stock/rental stock take Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CA(SA) or CIMA qualification preferred. Minimum [3] years of experience in financial accounting and management. In-depth knowledge of South African accounting standards and tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Pastel/Sage One and Netcash experience preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Leadership and mentoring abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00. Opportunities for career growth and development. Will be managing staff.
