As a Storeman, you will play a crucial role in the efficient management of inventory and goods within our warehouse or distribution center. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries to our clients. Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against invoices or packing slips. Inspect deliveries for damage, discrepancies, or shortages and report any issues promptly. Organize and store goods in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels using inventory management software or manual tracking systems. Pick and pack orders accurately and prepare them for shipment according to customer specifications. Coordinate with logistics coordinators and truck drivers to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods. Conduct regular stocktakes and assist with inventory audits as required. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to inventory or shipments. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to maintain a cohesive working environment. Do tyre control. Ordering and maintaining tyre stock levels Order stock to replenish stock levels when needed Manage job cards The booking of spares Solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles. Ability to use inventory management software and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects Proven experience as a Storeman, Warehouse Clerk, or similar role in the transport and logistics industry. Grade 12 certificate; additional certification in logistics or warehouse management is a plus. Valid driver's licence, a forklift licence will also be beneficial. Pervious experience in a warehouse and workshop environment.
