Accountant

• Prepare monthly journals to capture revenue and expenses • Maintain the fixed asset register and monitor the clearing accounts • Prepare revenue calculations per information received from insurers • Prepare balance sheet recons for review on a monthly basis • Calculate and submit VAT returns • Analyse costs in detail and report variances • Establish processes and reporting automation • Calculate commission and incentives payable to Dealerships and staff • Prepare bordereaux to be submitted to insurers • Process invoices received from Group companies and external and ensure these are correctly captured and paid timeously • Ensure completeness of expense invoices received on a monthly basis • Process payments to suppliers via FNB • Monthly reconciliations done for: - JV Accounting - Ensure client billing for premiums are accurate and complete - Billing file reconciliation to bordereaux - VAT and income tax reconciliations - Ad-hoc reconciliations as required by Insurers and Directors • Compile the spreadsheets to be used in the bulk debiting of insurance premiums • Upload billing files to collections platform • Invoice insurers and determine amounts to be paid over • Month-end reporting of profit and loss and balance sheet Qualifications and Experience • Grade 12 / Matric • Completed B.Com Financial Management / Accounting • Minimum 3 - 5 years Financial Services or Automotive industry experience • 2 - 3 years Management Accounting experience • Experience in working in a manual environment • Manually combine and reconcile information from several systems • Experience on CRM and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains will be advantageous • Extensive MS Excel experience required Skills and Personal Attributes • Strong analytical ability to interpret financial information • Strong ability to adapt to change • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal and written skills) • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities • Team player as well as the ability to work independently • Inquisitive mind and a passion for innovation / finding a better way to do things • Must be assertive • Excellent telephone skills with professional telephone manner and commercial acumen and the capability to communicate with enthusiasm • Passion for administration • Drive to ensure the highest quality at all times • Able to interact with a wide variety of people • Energetic • Fluent in English • Outgoing & vivacious personality & ability to work well under pressure • Credit and criminal clear • Reliability • Self-discipline • Highly self-motivational • Accuracy / attention to details • You are required to illustrate integrity and honesty in the handling of cash / finances...apply now!

Fleet Admin Clerk
